Representative Franklin Foil Receives Award for Defending the Disabled
BATON ROUGE -- Rep. Franklin Foil was presented with the 2013 Louisiana Speech and Hearing Association Special Recognition Award for his support of and dedication to children and adults with disabilities.
The Louisiana Speech and Hearing Association honored Rep. Foil with the LSHA Special Recognition award during legislative session on Tuesday, April 9 2013.
Throughout his time as legislator, Rep. Foil has been very concerned about the struggles individuals with disabilities face to live independent and fulfilling lives. He values the Speech Pathology and Audiology professions for the services they provide to help those facing communication and social living challenges.
Rep. Foil expressed his gratitude for being the recipient of the award.
"I passed legislation such as the Autism Insurance Bill and School Choice Pilot Program to do my part for those who struggle with developmental disabilities. I thank all of those who do their part," said Rep. Foil.
